The Queen’s Jubilee Celebration 5th June 2022

11 am to 10.30 PM

Ditchingham Parish Council and Broome Parish Council are proposing to coordinate a group celebration of Queen Elizabeth’s 70 years as our Monarch.

Progress to date:

  • Wonky Donkey has been booked for the evening event in the Village Hall and for The Dip.
  • The band has been booked for the Village Hall in the evening.
  • Stallholders have been approached and we already have some acceptances. An ice cream vendor has been approached. The Men’s Shed is also on board. Fish – sausages – hamburger van booked
  • The insurance for the number of 500 people at events throughout the day is being sorted.
  • The school is on board and an approach has been made to The Norfolk Wildlife Group. The US 8th Army Airforce Centre at Thorpe Abbots have been contacted and have shown an interest, further talks to take place.
  • Proposal to close the street from Station Road to the Hall – on the day has also been made.
  • More Stalls required, games and activities.

    Of course more ideas – donations – volunteers – always welcome, to make this an event to remember for all young and older. 

    Some funds have been made available from the South Norfolk Council and Ditchingham Parish Council to get the ball rolling.
