DITCHINGHAM W.I.

At our W.I. Meeting held in Ditchingham Village hall at 2.30 pm on November 13th in Ditchingham Village Hall we had a fascinating talk by Jenny Gibbs on Christmas customs and other Turkish celebrations. She had dressed as a Turkish lady. Told us in her village it was only her household who put up decorations and celebrated Christmas. Village people did not know about our own customs.

Our next meeting will be on December 11th  which is our Christmas lunch.  January 8th 2020 will see Helen Reeve – My connections with the Royal Family giving the members a talk.

Our meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at Ditchingham Village Hall at 2.30pm.  We are a fun group of ladies, who like a laugh & are very friendly.  Why don’t you come & give us a try if you are feeling lonely.  It’s better than a tonic!

DITCHINGHAM PRIMARY SCHOOL NEWS

We really enjoyed our learning café on Friday 8th November. Parents came in and learnt about Remembrance with their children. They created some wonderful art work that was displayed at Broome Church for remembrance Sunday. The congregation really appreciated it and we received a lovely thank you card from them. We all had fun whilst learning about such an important event. Ditchingham Primary School are collecting the Aldi’s Kit for Schools stickers and if anyone has any we would be grateful if they could drop these in at the school office.  Many thanks.
