DITCHINGHAM W.I.

At Ditchingham W.I. meeting at 2.30 pm on 12th June held at The Village Hall we had a very funny speaker, Tina Chamberlain, known as  ‘The Gal Tina’,  entertaining us with her Norfolk yarns & her poems.  She was a real tonic banishing the gloomy Wednesday afternoon ‘blues’ away.

Our meetings are on the second Wednesday of the every month at Ditchingham Village Hall @ 2.30pm.

Why not give us a visit.  We are a friendly bunch of ladies enjoying a speaker & natter over tea & biscuits.

Our next meeting is on July 10th – Steve Burns (Dr Vinyl) Number one singles of the 60’s.

DITCHINGHAM PRIMARY SCHOOL

Ditchingham Primary School are extremely grateful to the Men’s Shed who have taken away a very special bench that we have in our garden and restored it. We are thankful to Paul Carter who completed some of the carving again.

The bench was made in 2012 to remember the Head teacher – Gywn James who sadly passed away at a young age due to cancer. The bench has a horse head at one end and a dog on the other as these were two things that she particularly liked. After many years out in the elements it was in a sorry state but thanks to these wonderful volunteers it now looks like new.
