It has been a busy time at Ditchingham Primary School. In the last few weeks, we have explored lots of different areas of the curriculum and enjoyed some special themed days. We have learned how to keep ourselves safe when using the internet and we have explored a range of ways to keep physically healthy in PE through activities such as yoga, gymnastics and rugby. We have considered the legacy of various times in our history, such as finding out about Louis Braille and exploring the impact of the Vikings. In Music we have been learning how to play various instruments such as glockenspiels and recorders. In art we have enjoyed looking at the work of a range of artists such as Freda Kahlo and Henri Rousseau.

We all enjoyed celebrating books and authors from around the world as part of our World Book Day celebrations. We enjoyed getting to wear non-uniform, having lots of time to read and complete fun activities. The children enjoyed seeing the adults dressed up too, especially seeing Mrs Bradford as a dinosaur!

This term we have been pleased to welcome volunteers to listen to our children read. The children really value the time to read with other adults 1:1 and practice this vital skill. If you would be interested in coming to listen to our children read, have a look at Home » The Norfolk Reading Project , they are a charity that provide excellent training.
