Dear Friends and Supporters,

Our Rural Community Challenge is to cut the grass areas of 8 playgrounds in one day of surrounding villages. A team of farm helpers and staff from Clinks Care Farm will start tomorrow, Thursday 23 July ’20, in the early hours from 8.00 and the anticipated finishing time will be 21.00. It will be a real challenge as some of the playgrounds are huge. Playgrounds in rural villages are key and important to the wellbeing of local communities, families and children. The playgrounds are located in Haddiscoe (1), Aldeby (2), Burgh St Peter (1), Gillingham (1), Geldeston (1) and Ditchingham (2).

We are doing the challenge to raise funds for the communal kitchen extension which is needed to keep farm helpers, volunteers and staff safe and well in the era of the New Normal. Now, with the new arrangements having to be put in place because of the virus, the kitchen extension is vital before the autumn and winter months so we can safely meet up, have lunch and socialise – which is an important part of being on the Farm. In order to achieve this, we need to raise £10,000. The Friends of Clinks Care Farm charity has already raised some funds, but our fundraising events for this year are cancelled so we are running out of time to get the works completed. Please help us out to ensure this vital piece of work can be finished as soon as possible. Thank you!
