Ditchingham and Broome Parish Councils continue to make plans for the villages and surrounding villages to be part of and to enjoy this historic occasion.

On Thursday 2nd of June, Beacons will be lit throughout the country and our lighting ceremony will take place in Broome around 9.00pm. Put this date in your diary to come along and enjoy the spectacle and make a toast to her Majesty.

Plans for Sunday 5th are progressing as stalls are booked for the afternoon fete, demonstrations, competitions, Loddon Brass Band, live music, refreshments, an art exhibition to name but a few treats for the day.

If you would like to have a stall, pitches are free, or could you volunteer to bake some food, make some sandwiches, donate edible items, for the free tea we hope to have in Ditchingham Village Hall, late afternoon. If so, please call Angela on 01986 892936.

We are also looking for volunteers on the day to help with car parking, moving furniture and just for general help tasks. Can you volunteer? Call Angela on 01986 892936

Let us all help to make this an enjoyable day for everyone.
